“…whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” John 4:14
Water has been much in the news and on our minds over the last couple of months. The gardens and farms in the south of England have cried out for rain. There has been extraordinary joy in the UK when those first raindrops arrived. This has contrasted with the terrifying power of uncontrolled flooding down the valleys of Nepal. The miracle of water bringing both life and death. The science behind the changing weather patterns across the world is complex, but it seems in little doubt that the rise in global temperatures is having a massive impact on people everywhere. How should we respond in the face of immeasurable problems?
Jesus calls us to come to Him, the source of living water. Come to Him and learn his ways, his compassion, receive his healing for the world, discern the actions He calls us to take, pray as the Spirit prompts.
